Sweet Pea She is a 1 year old 20 lbs Red Female
Mini Goldendoodle
Because we are limited in the number of parent dogs we can have on our property, and also because we don’t want to spread ourselves too thin by having more parents than we can comfortably and reasonably take care of, we have a few of our dogs living with other families. That’s what we refer to as Guardian Homes.
We set up a contractual agreement with these families stating among other things that they will provide a nurturing, safe and healthy family living environment for our dog, and we will have access to the female or male as needed ( for females once or twice a year …and for stud males anytime we need them for mating ) and breed them at the appropriate age.
Our guardian homes are given two options,
Option A: Chosen by most
These families opt into getting paid to take care of the whelping of the mom dog and raising, and socializing of the puppies in their home. In this case, we retrieve the puppies when they turn 8 weeks old, and place them in their forever homes.
Option B:
These families chose the option of having us take the mom dog when she is pregnant, and we take care of the whelping, caring and raising of the puppies, then we return the mom dog to them when she’s no longer nursing her pups.
Those families usually plan their family vacations around the times we will be taking the dog from them, so that they don’t need to make pet sitting arrangements
We keep a very rigorous process to vet guardian home families. If you would like to be considered as a potential guardian home. please view the bellow mentioned preliminary requirements first.
